Membership Structure
The membership strructure is made of two basic membership classes:

Subscribers |
Anyone who joins the FCN but doesn't meet the "Member" definition. |

Members |
A subscriber who is a Canadian residents and belongs to a recognized club or group. Members are able to vote at the FCN's Annual General Meeting. |
There are several other classes which help the FCN conduct its business. Anyone who has the positions outlined as "Member" are automatically Members of the FCN as defined above.

Life (Member) |
Lifetime membership either purchased or bestowed by the FCN |

Honorary (Member) |
Free membership bestowed by the FCN which does not expire but may be withdrawn |
|
Director (Member) |
Members who are elected by membership at the Annual General Meeting |
|
Officer (Member) |
Members elected by the board of directors with specific duties/responsibilities |

Volunteer (Member) |
Members who volunteer their time. Volunteer are designated by directors or officers. They do not expire but may be withdrawn at the discretion of directors or officers |
|
PR (Subscriber) |
Free subscriptions given by directors or officers for public relations purposes |
|
Exchange Subscriber) |
Free subscriptions given by directors or officers to other publications/organizations |
|
Club Manager (Member) |
Owners or Managers of clubs as listed on the club application/renewal form |
Club / Business Membership
In addition, the FCN has a membership class for naturist clubs & businesses. While the clubs/businesses have no votes at the FCN meetings, the owner/manager is given a full voting membership which allows them to vote on behalf of their club or business. Membership of a club orbusiness is not an endorsement. It is simply a recognition of FCN partners. For more information, click here.
Operations
The FCN is an entirely volunteer-run organization. It depends on the donation of time, services, and materials.
The philosophy is to try to divide tasks into as many small components as posssible so that each volunteer will do as much or as little as they are able. Not every person is able to give of themselves on a regular basis but we appreciate ANY contribution that someone is able to make.

Meetings
The Annual General Meeting is held at the end of the summer. An announcement as to the exact time and date is sent to each registered member through Going Natural.
Board meetings are held every other month. In addition, Board Members may meet informally to discuss specific issues.
